Abstract
Today, environmental pollution has become a very big challenge. Ibn Arabi is one of the Islamic thinkers whose anthropological teachings play an important role in dealing with environmental crises. This research was conducted with the aim of investigating Ibn Arabi's anthropology and its application to deal with the environmental crisis with a descriptive-analytical method. The results of the research show that the understanding of Ibn Arabi's anthropology is very important and necessary because in his teachings, man has dignity because he is the place where the divine spirit breathes and is the end of creation itself. The result of such a view is that any kind of disrespect and discrimination between people on the grounds of gender, race, culture and religion will be invalid. In Ibn Arabi's anthropology, although man is the highest of creations, nature is not exclusive to him, but nature, like man, is a manifestation of God, and although man is valuable, he does not have superiority over other creatures because all creatures are carriers of the divine spirit, therefore it is obligatory on man. It is to respect the divine spirit that resides in all living beings, as a result of such a view it will protect the environment.
