Abstract
The musician opens a window for human beings toward God and truth through music. Problem: This descriptive-analytical research aims to explain the status of the musician in Islamic wisdom and examine his characteristics, and it has been conducted by studying the works of Muslim sages such as Farabi, Avicenna, Ibn ʿArabi, and Mullā Ṣadrā. Findings: The findings indicate that the musician in Islamic wisdom is not merely the creator of melodies; rather, through self-purification, the abandonment of individuality, and the employment of the faculty of imagination, love, unveiling (kashf), intuition, and innate cognitions, he manifests divine beauty and perfection in the form of sounds and melodies. By engaging with nature and possessing creativity and artistic taste, he involves the audience in a spiritual experience and guides them toward pleasure, transcendence, and the apprehension of God's grandeur. Conclusion: The conclusion is that the musician in Islamic wisdom serves as an intermediary between the divine realm and the audience, and his objective is to direct the listener toward truth and spiritual elevation.
