Understanding is encircled by episteme from MullaSadra and Zagzebski’s point of view. Therefore, they assume that the otherawareness of the knower, along with propositional knowledge, are of knowing nature and categorized as understanding or wisdom. They argue that the knower can prepare the ground for formation of true belief by obtaining rational and ethical merits intentionally and in long run. They believed that rational virtues lead to belief and that ethical virtues are effective on development of beliefsinto truth, while immoralities prevents achieving true belief. They believed the knower possesses the desire and intention to reach knowledge and achieve the truth by preparing the ground to achieve true belief.
